🚀 A look back at the workshop Tech4FAB-CROSS-S3 : Material extrusion at the heart of industrial innovation.

On January 27, INISMa-CRIBC (BCRC) was pleased to welcome more than thirty experts, researchers, and industry representatives to Mons for a technical workshop focused on advances in material extrusion additive manufacturing (MEX).

As part of the Interreg France-Wallonia-Flanders program, this workshop provided a comprehensive overview of the current and future capabilities of this technology, going well beyond conventional polymers.

🔍 Highlights of the day:

hashtag#Pellets vs hashtag#Filaments : An in-depth comparative analysis by Centexbel of feeding strategies and their impact on the rheology and mechanical properties of parts.

hashtag#Multimaterials & Fonctionnalisation : Fascinating discussions on 3D printing hashtag#metals (CNRS/Centrale Lille) and ceramics (CRIBC), highlighting the challenges of debinding and sintering.

Applications hashtag#Magnets : A technical case study presented by Sirris | Innovation forward illustrating the potential of functional materials.

Industrial Approach: Pollen AM’s involvement provided concrete insights into the industrialization of pellet extrusion processes.

🤝 A dynamic ecosystem
Beyond the presentations, what stood out was the lively and interactive nature of the discussions. The diversity of the participants—combining cutting-edge academic perspectives with industrial pragmatism—sparked high-level technical debates, particularly during the tour of our laboratories and the final roundtable discussion.

Un immense merci Ă  nos orateurs pour la qualitĂ© de leurs interventions, ainsi qu’Ă  tous les participants pour leur contribution active Ă  cette dynamique transfrontalière.
